The frogs are singing again, and as I haven’t come up with anything new this week, here is a timely repost!
If I could sing
all day, all night,
then being
nobody
would be alright.
If I could send
a clear high note,
then I might
keep my head
and heart afloat.
If I could be
content to bring
one more voice,
all might muse
a hope of spring.
I take a leap
though just a frog,
not for praise
but the mud
in my cool bog.
Inspired by the frogs singing in my vernal pond and Emily Dickinson’s poem:
And please check out Grace Pieces recent ‘re-write’ of this Emily Dickinson poem:
“I’m Somebody! Who Are You?”

Thank you, Fergie! And it has been such a wet spring the bog chorus is still in full voice. At least the frogs love all this rain! XO

The frogs here are very busy with their music making. At time, it seems so loud you might here them all the way over there.

Thank you so much, Peter! Yes, sometimes the simpler the better … which can be said for many things, including how we live our lives, I think!
I have less online time now I am back at work, but promise to visit your blog very soon – your writing is always such a treat for the mind and heart and soul! Blessings.

Love this poem, Diane, and Emily’s as well, which appeals to me and perhaps other introverts who are inclined by nature to keep a low profile. ♥

Hi, Barbara, and thank you! Yes, I think Emily D’s poetry does appeal to those of us who are introverts … who, when we do ‘make ourselves known, prefer to be heard rather than seen! XO ♥

Oh Diane I love this! I remember loving it before, especially the first stanza! I hadn’t realised it was inspired by Emily Dickinson, or maybe you did say originally. Then when I started reading it this time, I thought of Caddo’s recent post. Then you mentioned her at the end! So everything came together! Lol
Wonderful!
Lots of love and blessings ❤ xxx ❤

Thank you, Christine! I was trying to get a new poem done for this week, but it just didn’t happen. Then, between hearing the frogs singing away in the evening and reading Caddo’s poem, I thought it was time to repost.
An Abundance of love and hugs to you! XO ♥
