A House Near Luccoli – One Year Anniversary

My historical fiction, A House Near Luccoli, imagining an intimacy with the Italian Baroque composer, Alessandro Stradella, has been out for a year!

It is available in Paperback, Kindle and NOOK BOOK  editions, and also as an Audio Book.

I still pinch myself, feeling so blessed to have caught the attention of the award-winning novelist, Marina Julia Neary, who introduced me to my wonderful publishers, Deb and Phil, at All Things That Matter Press. They consistently offer sincere support, encouragement, respect and friendship to their authors who are also very supportive of each other.  I hope to have a long and productive relationship with ATTMP!

At this (just over) one year anniversary of the publication of A House Near Luccoli, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to everyone who has purchased, read, is reading or planning on reading the novel, and to those who have taken the time to write and post a review. You can see many of them here on my website.

Reviews, ratings and recommendations are very important to a book’s exposure, to expanding its readership and giving it more chance for success. If you enjoyed the novel, please spread the word!

So, a gentle reminder and entreaty: if you did read A House Near Luccoli, are in the process of doing so or planning to, a review (of any length) would be welcome and can be easily posted to Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Goodreads (if you are a member).  Whenever and wherever I share a review, I am happy to link back to the reviewer. I also am open to review exchanges.

If you don’t feel comfortable writing a review, I would still welcome your feedback, even in the comments on this blog or somewhere else like Facebook. If you wish to do so privately, there is a contact form on my website. If you have not yet considered ‘visiting’ A House Near Luccoli, I invite you to go to my website  to read about it, including excerpts and an audio sample.

Thank you all for your friendship and encouragement as I pursue my passion!

I wish you all much happiness and fulfillment in whatever yours may be.

Finally, I’m offering this excerpt from my other publication, A Friendship with Flowers, with the understanding that taste in reading like anything else is a very personal thing.

  1. Diane, congratulations on the one year anniversary of this book! Haven’t read it yet, but I’m going to look for it on Kindle.

Oh, and wonderful excerpt from “A Friendship with Flowers” – that’s another one I’d love to read (and enjoy your exquisite artwork).

Wishing you great and continued success in the publishing world! 🙂

  2. Happy Anniversary, Diane, and it is hard to believe that a year has gone by since your book first came out. I loved it and will definitely write a review and should have done it sooner! I admire and envy your writing ability, Diane, you are an inspiration and mentor to me, my friend…sending much love and many hugs! xoxo

    • I know. It is a little scary! For the most part, it has been well-received, but I can’t give up the ‘day’ job yet – ever?

LOL I am so glad my novel opened up your reading interests. The sequel is taking a little longer than I expected, as I had a detour writing a short story (which, hopefully, will be out soon as a Kindle short through my publisher). The sequel should be ready for my publisher by the end of the year, if not a little sooner. I only have three chapters to write, but I want to give them all the care they deserve. My publisher is also looking for uplifting Christmas shorts and such a ‘perfect’ story came to me that I must go for it. The deadline is November 1st, so I have to get a move on. I am including illustrations with these short stories.

Thanks, as always, for your support and love. HUGS! ♥

  4. Congratulations on the book. You have prompted me to go over to Amazon and have a look at it. I get little time to read, sadly, but I know I should read your book. Paradoxically, I have just finished my first novel and it is at the publishers being edited as I write. God knows how it will do. So much seems to be in the marketing, and that is not one of my strengths.

    • Hi, Peter. Forgive the delay in my responding to your comment. I hope you do get a chance to read my novel at some point. I am certainly look forward to yours and will help you to promote it as I can. I find it difficult to read a lot and write at the same time, so I understand. When I first realized that I would have to do marketing for my novel, I was very resistent. It still isn’t my favorite thing, but you will find your stride. You already have a loyal fan base, which I am sure will continue to increase. Best of luck! You’ll do fine. 🙂
