Saturday Historical Novelist Interview with DM Denton

I want to thank Christoph Fischer for interviewing me on his blog today. He offered some excellent questions, which made it fun and satisfying to do. Christoph is a fine author himself, and such a generous supporter of other writers. His blog features interviews, reviews, and other articles about his own work and passions, too. Hope you will go over and have a look.

DM Denton Profile Pic 1Today I have the pleasure of introducing Historical Novelist DM Denton. Welcome to my blog, please tell us about your writing history. When was the first time you decided to write and the first time you did?

I recall that as a child loving to read I also knew I wanted to write. Initially, it was an escape for me like reading was and a perfect pursuit for my introverted personality. My mother talks of my first poem, when I was seven or eight, in response to the family being together at Thanksgiving. I’m sure it wasn’t the first, the others probably well-hidden or destroyed. • Thank you so much, Sarah, for once again taking the time to visit here and be so supportive of my writing. I am so overdue in a visit to your blog and promise to rectify that very soon as I’m such a fan of your poetry, some of the finest I’ve come upon. Blessings to you and yours for 2016 and far, far beyond. Love and hugs, Diane

  1. Such a wonderful, comprehensive interview Diane; I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and I wish you well in your ongoing/ future projects.

I took in a sharp breath of understanding when I saw your reference to Don McLean’s ‘Vincent’. Someone asked me only the other day what would be my all time favourite song and guess what was my reply?! 😊❤️ Xxx

    • Thank you, Christine! Regarding “Vincent”, there are no coincidences, are there? I had the chance to see Don McLean in a small outdoor concert when I was in college. And I must thank you for the lovely comment you posted in the comments to the interview on Christoph’s blog. Bless you! Hope your New Year is off to a good start. XO ❤

      • I think I will start my new Year again after my visit to the doctor tomorrow. After beginning to feel better I developed a persistent cough on Xmas Eve and Im still coughing. John insisted I go to the doctor so Im going. I don’t want to end up in hospital again! X❤️
