Enter summer
in ladies slippers
to walk through clover;
dressed in being
with tortoiseshell adornment
and sighing
all the fashion –
its blush lasting
only as long as the day.
Happy Solstice
Summer or Winter!
Wherever you are,
have a magical day!

Oh I LOVE this one, Diane! Great visuals–the blushing, and tortoiseshell adornment; I could see it clearly.

Thank you, Caddo! Summer just somehow had to be further personified from the moment I wrote that it ‘entered’. Blessings. XO ♥

Diane,
Your art and poetry always touch the inner core and Summer Solstice does that with ease. Absolutely gorgeous! The bumble bee is the highlight for me. I had to look twice to make sure it was not a living being landed on my screen. The wings are a bit of heaven, as is your poem and all your art work.
So very much enjoyed!

Hi Diane,
that is beautiful again 🙂 Those purple flowers are called schapenbloemen where I live, (sheepflowers) there are a lot growing here now.
Let’s hope it will be a good Summer for all ❤
